2014 | Rogier & Melanie meet

Embrosa was born from the shared vision of Rogier van den Berg and Melanie van Norden. Their journey began in 2014 when they crossed paths at a leadership school focused on the Enneagram. A connection was formed, and a promise sealed their fate: "One day, we will work and build a business together."

2016 | Embrosa b.v. is born

Despite the unscalable nature of Melanie's initial marketing support for local entrepreneurs, Rogier boldly decided to leave his job at a software company to join her. Their dedication and belief in their venture led them to the notary's office on the 12th of May 2016, where they officially formalized their business endeavor.

 

After introducing Embrosa, they rapidly gained momentum. Numerous local business owners sought out affordable marketing support. Through Embrosa, Rogier and Melanie delivered content for their monthly newsletters and fueled their social media campaigns.

Rogier and Melanie remained deeply engaged with their users and developed the first version of the Embrosa App, which was entirely driven by customer input.

 

2018

However, the local entrepreneurs sought greater assistance and asked for access to their brands' content on the Embrosa App. This prompted Embrosa to grow by facilitating connections between brands and their resellers through a social media-optimized brand portal. 2019

More and more brands joined the Embrosa platform, these brands provided their resellers with access to their marketing assets through Embrosa's mobile app. This allowed the resellers to easily share branded content on their Facebook and Instagram accounts as organic social media posts. Embrosa's app quickly gained users from over 80 countries worldwide.

 

2020 (corona)

With over four years of dedicated collaboration with brand managers from renowned brands, Embrosa developed its localization module. Rogier and Melanie attentively listened to the intricacies and challenges of working with distributors and agents in various markets. Some brands required strict workflows, such as those about expiry dates in model contracts, while others needed more flexibility, necessitating local marketers to customize assets and conduct their own local campaigns alongside corporate facilitated campaigns.

With the sophisticated localization module, Embrosa now stands out as the only software in the world that empowers international brands to distribute their marketing campaigns, including social media assets, to all their markets in the local language of each specific market.

 

2022

In 2022, Embrosa took a significant leap forward by incorporating paid social media advertising into their platform. This strategic move propelled Embrosa's business growth, paving the way for the company to secure a $450k Seed round in 2023, thus enabling further development and expansion of the Embrosa platform. 2023

Embrosa is expanding its reach by using additional channels like Google Search, Google Display, and Digital Out of Home advertising, turning the solution into a fully omnichannel publishing platform. Hyper-local targeting has become more precise and effective, preventing overlapping targeting areas and giving every local reseller their own target area while optimizing the total market for the brand marketers.

 

2024

In 2024, with the integration of automatic visual personalization of ads and posts, along with Embrosa's Social AI, which generates unlimited variations of a brand's captions for each individual reseller, Embrosa has risen to become the world's leading software solution for brands seeking to offer hyper-local marketing support to independent resellers.

Embrosa understands, like no other, that selling through independent resellers requires a different approach than activating franchisees. Each reseller is independent and can choose not to participate in your next campaign. They also have their own name on the wall and a unique look and feel.
